Internship: Entrepreneur in Residence (m/f/d)

toern is a growing AI startup based in Hamburg, reinventing the returns process in e-commerce. With an automated all-in-one solution, toern helps online shops efficiently manage returns, gain valuable insights from return data, and increase customer satisfaction as well as margins. Our focus is on scalable growth, data-driven decisions, and close customer engagement.

To further expand our team, we are looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence who is eager to take responsibility and actively contribute to our go-to-market efforts.

Duration: 6 months (mandatory or voluntary internship possible)

Your Tasks

‍As an Entrepreneur in Residence, you will work directly with the founding team and be deeply involved in strategic and operational topics from day one. You will operate at the intersection of Business Development, Growth, and Product, helping to strengthen our go-to-market approach. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing go-to-market strategies and growth approaches
  • Outreach to potential customers (email, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Preparation and follow-up of trade shows & events
  • Support in demo calls (preparation, participation, follow-ups)
  • Maintenance and development of CRM & sales processes
  • Conducting market, competitor, and customer analyses
  • Independently managing projects with clear ownership of results

Your Profile

  • Ongoing or completed studies (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or similar)
  • Strong interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and new business models
  • Analytical mindset combined with hands-on mentality
  • Excellent communication skills and structured working style
  • Initiative, curiosity, and willingness to take responsibility
  • Confident use of Google Workspace / Excel / presentation tools
  • Excellent German and English skills
