Who bears the return costs?

You decide yourself. You can charge your customers a return fee, cover the costs entirely, or share them proportionally. Individual rules based on customer group or return volume will also be possible in the future – toern gives you maximum flexibility.

How do customers register their returns?

Via our returns portal, which you simply link in your shop. There, customers indicate digitally what they want to return – intuitive, fast, and tailored to your process.

Can I customize the design?

You can currently upload your logo and a custom background image in the portal. Additional customization options - such as colors, texts, and email communication - are already in development. The goal is to soon enable full design customization in your brand’s corporate identity.

Can the returns portal be integrated into my shop system?

We specialize in Shopify but also offer basic functionality for WooCommerce, JTL Wawi, and Shopware. For other systems, we are happy to check the possibility of integration – additional integration costs may apply.

How quickly do my customers receive a return label?

Immediately after registering in the returns portal. The label is automatically generated based on your shipping carrier settings and sent directly to the customers via email.

Are return labels available via QR code?

Yes, we always automatically generate a label and a QR code, so the customer can choose which option to use for the return.

Does toern reduce the number of my support requests?

Definitely. Your entire returns process runs digitally and automatically – from label generation to feedback. Only in relevant cases, such as defective items, is a ticket created. This way, your team can stay focused on what really matters.

Can refunds be automated?

Yes. In Shopify, we can fully automate refunds – including shipping costs, deducted return fees, or custom rules. Alternatively, a voucher can be automatically created and sent.

Can I define custom return reasons with toern?

Of course. In addition to our proven standard collections – e.g., for fashion – you can create your own catalog of return reasons and assign them to specific products. This makes your returns process more targeted and easier to analyze.

Is there an open API?

Yes, toern offers an open API that covers all relevant standard return data. We are also open to individual extensions and customizations. Feel free to contact us if you need further information.

How quickly can I connect to your portal?

If all technical requirements are met, you can go live within a few days. We need access to your shop system and your shipping provider (carrier). If your fulfillment provider isn’t yet integrated, we’ll explore individual solutions - e.g., via a quick API extension or automated exports. We do everything to get you up and running quickly.

How much does it cost to use your portal?

For low return volumes and our basic features, we offer a starting price of €89 per month. If you want to use more features or handle larger volumes, we will create a custom offer tailored to your needs. Just get in touch with us!
