toern: We’re a growing AI startup based in Hamburg. We help e-commerce brands automate their returns processes, gather valuable customer data, and thereby increase revenue and efficiency. We’re building one of the most exciting SaaS solutions in the field of e-commerce operations—data-driven, fast-growing, and with a direct impact on our customers.
As a working student, you’ll work hands-on directly with the founding team and gain a 360° insight into an early-stage startup.
Responsibilities
You’ll work on key operational areas that enable us to scale:
- CRM & RevOps: Setting up, optimizing, and maintaining our HubSpot CRM—including workflows, automations, and a clean database
- AI & Automation: Automating internal processes with AI tools, building dashboards, and analyzing customer data to gain insights and optimize our lead generation
- Events & Trade Shows: Assisting with trade show preparations, team events, and sourcing gifts
- Operations & Finance: Assisting with accounting matters, office searches, and other organizational tasks
- Ad Hoc: Providing direct support to the founding team on strategic and operational matters
Qualifications
- Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a degree program (business administration, economics, marketing, (business) information technology, or similar)
- Available for 16–20 hours per week
- Structured, independent, and very hands-on approach to work
- Affinity for tools and data - proficient in Excel/Sheets
- HubSpot, AI tools (ChatGPT/Claude), and automation (e.g., Make/Zapier/n8n) are a plus
- Interest in startups, operations, and entrepreneurship - you want to start your own company one day or work at a high-speed startup
- AI isn’t just a buzzword to you
- Fluent in German and English
